Melek has gained instructor recertification at the highest level in the "Art of Belly Dance." She is also a Registered Practicing Member of the International Dance Teachers' Association.
Melek has traveled to Germany, Hawaii, Greece, Israel, Egypt, Cyprus, Turkey and Britain where she instructed and made several performances. Her most exciting memories are those of visiting Bethlehem, the pyramids in Cairo, dancing on the River Nile and teaching on the Mediterranean Sea. Melek cherishes her memories of seeing relatives again in Britain, Cyprus and Turkey and of course, eating her favorite Turkish foods with her family.
